Black Friday

On Black Friday, I worked in the Garden Center, so everything was pretty calm, but the most retarded thing that happened was with this guest that I got a Christmas tree for. After I netted up his tree, he asked if he could get out through a locked gate. After saying "no," he stupidly opened the gate, sounding off the alarm so I had to call LOD. While I was calling LOD, the bastard left with his tree and didn't even say anything.
The day after Black Friday, I worked on the sales floor in Toys. I got there at 3, and there were like eight team members working in the same section; it was beautiful. We were all bombarded with questions and constantly asking if items were in the back. The worst thing that happened that day was with this lady asking where the sleeping bags that came in a duffel bag were. I led her to the Sporting Goods section to see see if we actually had any, then all the sudden, she said in a bitchy tone, "I found it." What the hell?

Christmas Trees

For the rest of this year's holiday season, I will mostly be working in the garden center of the store because of the Christmas trees. Last night I cut my first tree with the chainsaw and it was awesome! Its a lot easier than it seems, and a lot of fun. I did a total of two trees that night and I was real excited. I will also be working there on Black Friday late in the afternoon so I won't be dealing with many guest; that means I won't have a big story for Black Friday this year for my blog :( I guess I'll name my chainsaw "Harley" or something

Encounter With A Justice Leage/Batman: The Animated Series Fan!

While covering a break for electronics, I was ringing up a guest's purchase that included the DVD, Superman: Doomsday. He was with his kids and I told him that it was rated PG-13 and he said that his kids would be asleep by the time they would be watching it. Then I asked if he watched Justice League and he replied with a definite "Of Course." I got all happy and excited because its hard to come by hardcore fans nowadays. I then asked him if watched Batman: The Animated Series and it turned out he did as well! He then said that his favorite was "Static Shock" and how upset he was that it was canceled. I almost forgot about that show until he bought it up. Thats the type of customer I would enjoy to ring up on a daily basis.

Countdown to Black Friday!

Heres the countdown to Armageddon
